Nearly sixteen billion years ago, a massive war betwen the two penultimate races, the Creation and the Void, nearly annihilated all of existence. The entire planet had been consumed by war, and many races and species were completely wiped out. In the final hours of the war, a hero sent by the gods known only as Azarael appeared with a small group of powerful warriors appeared and, at the cost of their lives, set forth and brought peace to Mondane, banishing the Creation and the Vod forever into the depths of the unknown. The hero Azarael knew that this peace could not last and with his last breath declared that one day he would be reborn, and when that days comes, true peace will come to the planet. Thus being said, he sent forward into the timestream of the future five seals that would protect both forever against the return of the Creation and the Void, and that would symbolize his return unto the world.

Since the death of the hero Azarael, Moondane has always had wars and skirmishes going on all over the planet; only five years ago, the greatest threat to the magical world of Moondane to ever occur has appeared. Human demon slayers, from another dimension of existence, have invaded into this one, and have spread out all over the planet, seeking to annihilate all of demonkind in the word, to, as they say, "prevent the spread of further wars by killing off the source of hatred". They believe that by killing off the demons, the constant wars will stop, and peace will come to the world. The demons and other creatures nonhuman were hit hard and fast, and thus their numbers were heavily decimated. The invaders have brought with them new, never-before-seen technologies and methods, some of them even with magical abilities themselves, to the art of demon slaying, and even some power-hungry demons are killing off their own kind. The demons, warlike by nature, have not been able to organize themselves well enough to stop fighting long enough to mount a resistance; it truly looks as if the end is nigh.
Over the past couple of weeks, odd things have started occurring, things that will draw heavy attention even in a world of magic and demons. The scholars are running frightened; the faithful believe that the hero Azarael is finally returning to the world, to annihilate the invaders and to restore peace to the planet of Moondane. Thus, the attention of the entire world has now turned to the most magical place on earth, Passou Island, where the Hero Azarael was said to have first appeared, and to have died, both in anticipation and fear.
Among the humans and demons, everybody is being forced to make a choice on where they desire to stand. Some seek to help alog the annihilation of demons, in hopes of eliminating the warlike nature that seems to be behind the start of every war. Others aim to try and find the hero Azarael, supporting him in a way that will help both humans and demons find peace. There are several traveling around the world as healers, to bring a light to as many lives as they can in these dark times. More choose to merely go their own way, watching the world burn as they seek power. Only a few care nothing for the current events of the world, still trying to avoid the war consuming the planet. What will you do?
Shadows of The Past and Future is a site based more on the personal stories of the member charries than it is the cannons. The cannons, the shadows of the past who have lived throughout history, are the Shadows of the Past; they hold the secrets of the world; of murky secrets that have been left untold for centuries; those that have lived for centuries, hiding in secret among the normal people of the world. The Shadows of the Future are the member characters, the new generation who will inherit the earth, and while for them the future is shadowy and unknown, it will be them who brings light to the darkness and chases away all the shadows-

About an hour later, Kora left her friend and walked outside, looking and smelling just as wonderful as ever. She spied Jona at her door, the one next door, and she smiled. Walking over to him she ran a hand up his chest in greeting. What do you expect from a sex finatic? She smiled, and her eyes glimmered. "Howdy." she said, her voice like chimes. "How's Hannah?" she asked happily. She was wearing a strapless black tanktop with short shorts and etnies. Her wrists held a few bracelets and she had a few trendy necklaces around her small neck. She was the queen of style, by a mile.

Jonathan woke slowly as Hannah started whimpering. He uncurled his body from the couch, groaning as his body protested the sudden movement. He stretched, getting to his feet. He lifted Hannah from her crib, bracing her against his chest. "Good morning, sweetie." He rocked her gently in his arms, feeling around on the ground for a flask of water. He put it to her lips and she drank greedily. He would have to go looking for food this afternoon. As he was changing Hannah out of her pajamas, he spied the piece of paper, Korari had left him. He read it carefully and realized how close her home was to his. He checked his watch, it was an hour behind the regular time. It wasn't too early to see someone, was it? He went to the address and waited for Korari.

Kora rolled her eyes and sighed. "Kay, your treat." Walking over to a drawer she opened it and pulled out a pad of paper and a pencil. "When you are awake, and ready to meet me, come to this address." she said. It was the room number that she lived in. It was the floor below his. Number 648. Smiling she let the number fall on the ground before Hannah's crib. Then turning she left his room with a small wave. Once she was out she went to her room and walked in. Sitting on her bed was her lesbian friend, Tasha. Rolling her eyes, Kora Avia walked over to her and sat down on the bed. She ignored how Tasha put her hand on her inner thigh and just sat there.
"Where have you been? We have an appointment, remember?" the girl said huskily, her hand running slowly up Kora's thigh. "Yeah, yeah, I know." Korari said with a smile, finally becoming her old self again.

He was in a half awake state at the moment. "Hm. Sure. Let's meet up somewhere." He rubbed his eyes. "I'll see you later...and you won't have to pay. Let me pay." He smiled at her as he laid down on the couch. "You sure you don't need me to walk you home?" He looked and sounded as if he were drunk. He curled up on the couch pulling the blankets around his shoulders. He closed his eyes. His blond hair fell into his face. He woke up again mid morning when Hannah started crying. He fed her before falling back asleep. It wasn't long until Hannah was up again, ready to start the day.

Kora smiled at him and stood up. "I have to go now. There are some people who are probably wondering where I am." she said, remembering that she hadn't told him her parents were dead yet. "Do you want to meet somewhere later for lunch or something. You could bring Hannah, or not. Whatever you want to do." she said with a beautiful smile.
Her metalic blue eyes locked onto his as she waited for an answer. Her arms were crossed over her body, but not in an angry or impatient way, just a lazy, comfortable way. "My treat." she added with another smile. He had let her stay at his house, and they barely knew each other. Plus they hadn't slept together, so it was kind of unusual, and she liked him, so she wanted to be nice.

He shuffled uneasily in his spot. He had been just like here. Not caring who he slept with as long as he got it. But his most recent girlfriend had changed him when he first fell in love with her. That was aorund the time he got Hannah's mother pregnant. He knew he had to stay faithful to her...even when things didn't work out between them. He had left his trail of quickies behind him. He had matured and become a young man while he helped his ex through her pregnancy. Hannah had changed him as well. He wanted to provide her with a safe home. He would do anything for her, to keep her safe. Even if that meant ignoring all the beautiful, lusty women around him.
Kora Avia listened intently as he revealed his past to her. She smiled all the while. He may have been having sex with the 'ladies' in his school, but he was still a gentleman. No bada.ss person Korari knew said ladies when they were talking about the b.itches they layed. When he was done talking she nodded. "Yeah, nothing like that ever happened to me. I didn't have boyfriends. I had 'regulars,' 'quickies,' 'sex toys,' and 'play mates'. My friends use to joke that I had 'pleasure buddies.'" she said, rolling her eyes. Not like they hadn't been someo of those themselves at one point or another. Like she had said, she didn't care who she laid, she just liked to have sex and have a wild, da.mn good time.

He raised his eyebrows at her comment. Boys and girls? He looked away for a moment and smirked. "Yeah. I know what you mean. I was normally having fun with the ladies at my school. That was until I got my girlfriend knocked up. And then we broke up. We wouldn't be that good of a match anyway. We were...using each other for different reasons. I liked this a friend of mine, a girl, and she liked a friend of hers, a guy of course. And the guy and girl we liked were dating each other. Then when they broke up, we broke up as well. We knew we wouldn't be good together anyway. I know it's confusing. She was a good friend of mine, we should've stayed friends in the first place. But then we finally got together with the person we really liked. The good thing was that four of us were good friends. While my ex went through her pregnancy, I helped as much as I could. There was a bit of an age difference between us. She was away at college while I was a senior in high school. So her new boyfriend helped her a lot of the time. But I was there with her, when Hannah was born."
